JKSSB: Forwarding of Final Selection List for Accounts Assistant, Finance Department
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has taken a significant step by forwarding the final selection list of candidates for the position of Accounts Assistant within the Finance Department, UT Cadre.
This move follows a rigorous selection process conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB).
Upon receiving a requisition from the Finance Department, the recruitment process began with the advertisement of 972 vacancies for Accounts Assistant positions under Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2020, dated December 16, 2020. These vacancies were distributed across various categories as outlined below:
- SC: 78
- ST: 97
- OSC: 39
- ALC/IB: 39
- RBA: 97
- PSP: 39
- EWS: 97
The selection process included an OMR based Written Examination held on January 28, 2024. Following this, Document Verification and Supplementary Document Verification stages were conducted.
A dedicated Selection Committee, formed for this purpose, compiled the Provisional Selection List, which was later ratified as the Final Selection List during the Board’s 263rd meeting convened on March 5, 2024.
Candidates are advised that the Selection List is subject to the resolution of any pending writ petitions/OAs and ongoing inquiries concerning document authenticity.
The Board’s verification process was confined to establishing the possession and validity of Category/Degree certificates, while the genuineness of documents submitted by candidates will be scrutinized by the appointing authority.
Selection criteria were primarily based on self-declarations and certificates submitted by candidates. Any instances of falsified information or counterfeit documents will result in immediate annulment of selection and potential legal repercussions.
Additionally, in compliance with Government Order No. 1003-JK(GAD) of 2021, candidates whose recommendations are endorsed must furnish their Personal Verification Roll (PVR) to the appointing authority within 21 days of release. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of their appointment rights.
The Final Selection List is now accessible on the J&K Services Selection Board website (www.jkssb.nic.in) for verification purposes.
